Nerve Pain in Your Legs
The Chiropractic Doctors at Mill Creek Clinic regularly treat sciatica – pain that originates in the low back or buttock that travels into one or both legs. Sciatic nerve pain varies in intensity and frequency; minimal, moderate, severe and occasional, intermittent, frequent or constant. With decades of combine experience treating sciatica in patients across the northwest, Dr. Ryan Doerge and Dr. Gilbertson have the knowledge and experience needed to reduce your pain in the quickest way possible.
The purpose of chiropractic treatment at Mill Creek is to help your body heal itself. Our treatments are based on the scientific principle that restricted spinal movement leads to pain and reduced function and performance.
We'll start by making adjustments that aim to realign the spine to take the pressure off of the nerve – often bringing relief almost immediately. Once the pressure is off, the body can begin to heal itself. Several treatments, or adjustments, will likely be needed, particularly if it has been occurring for some time. No surgery and no drugs are needed. Exercises will most likely be recommended to strengthen the muscles in the back to help prevent sciatica from recurring, but healing will likely take some time.
